Description:

Makhadi Halwa is also called Suji Ka Halwa or Makhandi Halwa. This is a very popular sweet dish that is made in every home. It is very easy to make and prepared with few ingredients which is very delicious in its taste. It is prepared by mixing semolina (Suji), ghee, sugar and all other spices and dry fruits.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Semolina (Suji) – 1 cup
  • Ghee – 1/2 cup
  • Sugar – 1/2 cup (adjust to taste)
  • Water – 1 1/2 cups
  • Cardamom powder – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cashews – 8-10
  • chopped
  • Almonds – 8-10
  • chopped
  • Pistachios – 8-10
  • chopped (optional)
  • Raisins – 2 tablespoons (optional)
  • Saffron strands – a few (optional for color and aroma)
